Dealentra is a mobile advertising platform specializing in focused or narrow-casting ads based on consumer solicitation. Our mobile application is a consumer purchasing assistant developed for iOS, Android and Windows smart phone platforms. Our merchant product is a cloud based subscription and ads for fees service.

Our Team

Herman Spencer Chief Executive Officer

Herman is an accomplished technology executive, innovator and leader. He has over 30 years of experience designing, building and delivering substantial, cutting-edge business solutions. After more than 10 years as a software engineer, relational database administrator and software project manager, Herman served as Director of Architecture and System Evolution for Lexis-Nexis. While in this position, he developed experience with world-class search engines and multi-million user computing environments.

Following Lexis-Nexis, Herman Spencer spent 5 years designing, building and implementing an International manufacturing enterprise resource planning system specializing in inventory control, shop floor scheduling and sales forecast solutions as Vice President of Agile Manufacturing Solutions. After leaving Agile Manufacturing, he joined TRIRIGA (currently IBM TRIRIGA) as Executive Vice President of Software and Product Development. During his 6 years at TRIRIGA, Herman invented the software platform that would eventually become the foundation of the IBM "smarter planet" campaign.

Herman Spencer most recently served as the Director of Engineering for Quickoffice (currently Google Quickoffice) where he and his team designed, developed and launched apps for Apple and Android formats with a scalable multi-million-user server component running in the cloud.

Herman is an experienced innovator with a track record of product delivery, technical excellence and business success.

Linda Nguyen Vice President of Business Development and Strategy

Linda joined Dealentra as the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy. Previously, she worked in Vietnam as a General Director for Milano and Gucci where she was responsible for Strategy, Process Efficiency, and Corporate Reorganization.

Before her stint in Vietnam, she was the Managing Director for Livy, LLC (and other startups) where she developed and executed an individually tailored business development strategy for each company. Prior to her experience in business management, she covered the entire trading spectrum in finance as a bond trader (ALM First, LLC) to a Trade Service Officer for JPMorgan Chase.

Linda graduated from University of North Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts and Science. Demonstrating her life long commitment to learning, she has further amassed degrees in Finance, Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management, and a degree in Entrepreneurship.

She is continuing for her MBA (Strategic Management) while simultaneously pursuing a MS in Merchandising. Over her travels of 23 countries, Linda has and continues to pursue culinary treasures as a foodie and strives to become acquainted with cultures beyond her borders. When she does have time to breathe, she enjoys golf and karaoke with her loved ones.

Scott Cote Director of Natural Language Processing & Co-founder

As a member of the founding team, Scott has guided the information architecture of Dealentra to be an information powerhouse for both vendors and consumers. Scott brings with him 20+ years of hands-on experience developing cutting edge, large-scale software products and leading high-performing development teams.

Prior to Dealentra, Scott was part of the original Connect by Quickoffice Team, which provided the first seamless experience for mobile office users through a synchronization system. At Quickoffice, Scott was responsible for architecting the core server synchronization engine as well as other key technologies.

Previously, Scott worked for Perficient where he was exposed to several businesses in the process of implementing SOA solutions, and at Bank of America where he conceived and co-created a workflow and rules engine for opening trust accounts.

Scott has also worked as a consultant for other consulting companies and for himself (thus fostering his entrepreneurial can-do attitude towards projects). Scott holds a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering Mathematics from University of Arizona.

Milfar Dean Director of Mobile Technologies & Co-founder

Prior to co-founding Dealentra, Milfar led the UI development for Connect By Quickoffice - a seamless office document creation/editing service. In this role, he oversaw and developed the user experience for Android Phones, tablets, iPhones, and iPads. The same role also allowed him to mediate complex requirements with offshore development teams while mentoring other members of his team.

Previous to that, he contributed to several fortune 500 company mission-critical IT project successes while consulting for Perficient. And prior to Perficient, he honed his skills while working for Perot Systems. Milfar received his Bachelor of Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University.

Milfar enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing guitar and working out when he's not coding ferociously.

Heather Kaplan-Weatherly Marketing Director & Co-founder

Heather is the Co-founder and Marketing Director of Dealentra Corporation who brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the field of Advertising and Marketing. Heather's extensive experience in the value and deal space includes successes for many industry groups such as restaurants, retail, and packaged goods. Heather's fresh thinking, analytical skills, and entrepreneurial passion are a welcome component of the Dealentra team.

Before Dealentra, she worked as the Media Director for Euro RSCG Dallas, where her efforts assisted in creating double digit ROI for clients such as Pizza Hut. Prior to Euro RSCG, Heather worked for other agencies such as Publicis and TM. Heather Graduated Cum Laude from The University of Arizona with a BFA, Media Arts.

Heather, the consummate entrepreneur, also sells goods in her own children's store and she founded and developed the brand and image for a granite countertop company-which is now tops with millions in sales.

And Heather's love of music likely comes from her minor in music, and perhaps her husband who is a professional Guitar & Bass player.

Gabe Ignatow Director of Behavioral Research & Co-founder

Gabe is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of North Texas in Denton and a Dealentra co-founder. His background is in sociological theory and social research methods, and he has extensive experience leading large academic research teams. As head of behavioral research at Dealentra he oversees the development of our application's matching engine, which efficiently matches users' interests and preferences with those of retailers, brands, and products. He is also responsible for our system of vendor reports, which supplies retailers with consumer behavior analytics tailored to individual retail outlets.

Gabe received his PhD in Sociology from Stanford University in 2003, and taught in Istanbul and Tel Aviv before joining the North Texas faculty.

When he's not thinking about research, Gabe enjoys basketball, swimming, Words With Friends, and eating large quantities of Turkish food.
